About
The Bear Republic Brewing Company is a microbrewery located in Cloverdale, California. Established in 1995 the name refers to California’s 1846 Bear Flag Revolt.
The goal of this project was to redesign an existing craft beer brand. I chose Bear Republic because I felt their current label designs were a little busy with no brand consistency. The idea of my redesign was to design a beer that could compete with the main commercial beer companies like Miller Lite, Budweiser, Modelo etc. I wanted to give the new design a feel of the commercial branding but still maintain an organic craft beer essence.
